Very green plains, then a small mountain range, then onto extensive plains right into Sevilla. Farming more prevalent and even though the soil is red, the crops looked excellent. Grapes, potatoes?, beans?, barley and olive trees.

Sevilla is a much larger city than we imagined. We finally found our way downtown where the real fun began. Traffic was crazy, fast moving and extremely aggressive. Drivers do not observe lanes. Very tense half-hour right downtown, but we finally found parking at the outer edge. Walked back, found a bank to exchange for some Spanish money, then next door for lunch at Burger King.

Split from Carole and Merv and spent 1 ½ hours walking the streets. As most shops close from 12:30 till 4:30 p.m., not much chance for shopping. Couple of department stores open. On one side street some fellows had set up a shell game. We watched for a while, until an old lady gestured to Lee not to try. Good advice. Finally met back up with Carole and Merv, some last minute shopping, back to the car and out of town. Crazy! Such a relief to finally hit the end of it.

Onto a toll expressway and found clear sailing south. No speed limits on this road and I was being passed at 150 KPH. Pretty wild! Back onto the regular highway at Cadiz and straight into La Linea, one mile from Gibraltar. Spectacular views along the southern coast.

Found a very nice hotel and the clerk booked us for a two day tour to Morocco, starting in the morning. One of our nicest dinners yet in the hotel dining room. Gibraltar looks impressive from where we are and plan to explore it on Thursday, after our return from Morocco. Long day, so off to bed at 11:30 p.m.
