Up at 9:30 a.m. for a shower and breakfast, then joined Merv and Carole for some sun by the pool. Lee and I went for a swim to cool off and came out with icicles hanging everywhere. Left Merv and Carole to go up to the room for lunch, but when we were finished, I discovered our cots were taken over by the two lovely tattooed maidens from 4 doors down. Merv didn't seem to mind too much and in the interest of furthering international relations, started up a conversation. Apparently he was experiencing difficulty in maintaining eye contact, but never fear, Carole to the rescue! She thoughtfully placed herself between the ladies and him. Thought of going down to join them, but I didn't like the idea of getting too much sun on my back. Don't think I could have tanned front side up.

Caught the shuttle to Albufeira at 4:15 p.m. to look around and do some shopping. We all decided to walk back to the Prismunic Commercial Centro on the highway for supper. A Pizza Hut had recently opened and we ordered 2 large Supremo Pizzas. Ahh, heavenly; just like home. Even tasted the same.

Continued our walk back (about 6 km. altogether) to make the bingo game at 9 p.m. We paid 500 esc. each and cleaned up. Lee won 2 games (2000 and 4000 esc.), Merv won a sweatshirt and I won a beach towel. About a $100 score for a $20 investment. Back to the room for a celebratory drink and off to bed by 11 p.m.
